tucson 50k ultra

Having completed two full marathons previously, I wanted to challenge myself and run my first (and so far, only) ultra-marathon. It was a point-to-point course that stretched for 50 kilometers in the gorgeous desert, full of cacti and with views of the Santa Catalina Mountains. Although the first few miles had moderately difficult rolling hills, the rest of the run was mainly a steady descent.
